Fundamentals of HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) Well Completion Design
Houston, USA

This 3-day course is designed for engineers and technologists regularly involved in normal completion designs and practices who wish to learn about the uniqueness of HPHT Completion sesign, as well as operations superintendents, managers, or specialists who require an appreciation for the complex nature of HPHT completions. The course will provide an engineering design methodology for planning of High Pressure and High Temperature wells, which are becoming much more prevalent in the industry. These trends require significantly more detailed engineering and preparation, ensuring operations and equipment are safely implemented. The importance of adequate stress and temperature profile analyses, tubular and connection selection criteria, proper completion equipment selection, completion fluid selection, operational considerations, and detailed timely planning will be emphasized. The utilization of a commercial thermal and stress analysis software will be demonstrated and classroom exercises will re-enforce the principles being taught. A complete set of course materials and lunches are included.
