    Event Details :
This course should be a requirement for explorationists, landmen and engineers exploring for oil & gas in Western Canada, particularly at an early stage in the careers.  Exploration technicians who work closely with geologists, as well as managers and investors who wish to improve their geological understandings of where and how we look for oil & gas.  A valuable component of the course is for participants to complete a set of ten maps which summarize each of the major periods of basin evolutio, documenting wedge-edges, major fields, facies, structural elements, etc.  We combine these maps with charts to locate producing zones stratigraphically, and finally onto structural cross-sections of our Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.
