Well Test Analysis Workshop
Calgary, Canada

The three-day course will provide participants with a comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge of well test analysis techniques. Emphasis will be placed on the practical aspects of well testing - a number of relevant examples will be presented. The use of analysis results to assist in decision making related to reservoir development and well completion will be illustrated through real-life case histories. Attendees are encouraged to bring well tests used in recent projects for discussion. A complete set of course materials and lunches are included.

Course Outline
Review of the Flow Equations Including the Diffusivity and Darcy Equation
Buildup Analysis: Principle of Superposition, Horner Plot, Average Reservoir Pressure
Reservoir Boundaries and Channel Analysis
Wellbore Skin Factor and Partial Penetration
Wellbore Storage and the Use of Type Curves Pressure Derivative
Draw-Down Testing and Reservoir Limit Testing

A working (but not necessarily expert) understanding of SCADA operating principles is required. A complete set of course materials and lunches are provided.

Course Outline
Introduction
Traditional Security Models
Case Histories - Security Breaches
Open Systems Vulnerabilities
Diverse Access Points in Industrial Systems
Encryption Principles and Application
Firewalls and Perimeter Security
Virtual Private Networks and Virtual LANs
Access and Authorization: Managing Users
